1982 Recaro Trans AM Great project car. These have become a classic. Must sell, too many other projects. I am only the 2nd owner of this rare, special edition Trans AM. The original "Knight Rider". Complete with T-Tops, Gold colored alloy wheels, and the original bowling ball wheel covers included. Dealers were selling this car for a premium over the sticker price. OPTIONS: Cross Fire TBI Fuel Injection 4 Wheel disc brakes Limited slip rear T-Tops, (including storage case) Air Conditioning Recaro Seats Power steering, windows and locks AM/FM Casette Radio Automatic Transmission The engine was repalced with a Rebuilt 350-4bolt .030 over. New parts in engine, during rebuild: Pistons, rings, bearings, freeze plugs,etc. Competition Cams Cam, lifters & and valve springs, hp Oil Pump, water pump, dist cap, plug wires,EGR valve, O2 sensor, Hooker headers, TCI Torque converter, Heads were redone with a 3 angle valve grind. Other parts replaced include: New dash pad installed. Hydraulic cylinders installed in deck lid. Hydraulic cylinders installed on hood. Battery, Master cylinder, Proportioning valve I have a new/used steering wheel, and new computer. What it needs: Needs new paint, only minor surface rust, some rust starting on bottom of door panels, This is the original paint, no wrecks.will need tires, Transmission has a "whine" (front pump). Windshield washers do not work, rear defogger does not work (wire to window broken) Passed Maryland emissions test. I am too involved in other projects to continue. Just want to see this have a good home. Buyer pays all shipping, taxes, fees, etc. I will assist in delivery where possible. 20 percent of purchase price (non refundable) due within 7 days of auction close, remainder due prior to delivery.
